Footage shared by JoyNews has shown police officers carrying school children amidst their clash with Arise Ghana demonstrators.
In the course of what was supposed to be a peaceful protest by a coalition calling itself Arise Ghana, to register their displeasure at the worsening economic condition of the State, a clash broke out between the police personnel and the demonstrators.
Reacting to this at a time when students were passing by, some police officers took it upon themselves to protect them by conveying them to safety.
In one footage, a police officer carried a student on his back and in another, a student was carried in the officer’s arms.
