BoG Board Members Unveiled

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed a Board of Directors for the country’s Central Bank.
The appointment was made in compliance with Article 70(1)(d)(iii) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612) as amended by the Bank of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Act 918).
It comes a few days after he swore in the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Asiama.
In a statement issued by the Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced the appointment by the President in consultation with the Council of State.
With the Governor serving as the Chairman, the board includes Dr. Zakaria Mumuni, the first Deputy Governor, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Representative of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Augustine Fritz Gockel, an economist and Nana Akua Ayivora, an Accountant.
Also included are Emma Akua Bulley, Lawyer, Evelyn Naa Checher Kwatia, Finance Markets, Dr. Stephen Senyo Sapati, Finance/Audit, Beatrice Feehi Annangfio, lawyer, Kizzita Mensah, lawyer, Joseph W. Asamoah, FINTECH and Isaac Adongo, an Economist.
