FDA: “Ladha Ya Kuku” Indomie Noodle Is Not A Registered Product

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana has warned Ghanaians against the consumption of the Indomie Instant Noodle with the inscription “Ladha Ya Kuku” on the label.

The chicken flavour of that brand has been found to contain high rates of aflatoxin and pesticides, making it unwholesome for consumption and triggering a recall of the product from the markets of Egypt and Rwanda.

According to the FDA, it is not a registered product in Ghana.

“Anybody in possession of the unregistered Indomie products should contact the FDA immediately”, the FDA said in a statement.

It added that the FDA surveillance team is monitoring markets for unregistered products.
