Striker, Yahaya Mohammed, has joined Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC from Aduana Stars on a season-long loan deal, Opemsuo.com can exclusively reveal.
The prodigy striker was part of the Aduana Stars team in the 2019/20 season that was cancelled due to the outbreak of novel COVID-19 pandemic.
He netted 11 goals in 15 games for the Dormaa based club before the season was annulled.
The experienced forward has joined the Miners following the exit of Shafiu Mohammed.
The Yellow and Black team is preparing for 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup competition, and they will need sharpness upfront to perform phenomenally.
His performance thus far has been astronomical in the local League, he will be an instrumental figure to push AshGold further than their last appearance in the competition.
The Miners bowed out 4-3 on aggregate from last season’s Confederation cup match against RS Berkane in the knockout stage.
