Education Minister Shares His Day With Presec Osu

The Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, on Thursday, March 9, undertook a working visit to Osu Presby Senior High School.

It was part of his unannounced visits to educational institutions across the country.

This appears to be his second unannounced visit to a school this year after Labone Senior High School in January.

As part of his visit, he said, he inspected some of the school’s facilities and interacted with the students.

Sharing his visit in a Facebook post, he said, “I inspected most of the classrooms while lessons were ongoing and I shared lessons from my life experiences and that of other great personalities like Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Barrack Obama, and many others with the students and encouraged them to study hard and excel regardless of their various backgrounds.”

He said he pledged to renovate some classrooms to make them convenient for learning as well as provide textbooks for efficient learning.

Additionally, he said, “I also informed the students of the Education Ministry’s introduction of the one-year Pre-Engineering program offered at some selected universities for students with non-science backgrounds who wish to pursue engineering at the tertiary level.”
