Dollar Gift: CHRAJ Petitioned to Investigate Sammy Gyamfi’s Private Accounts with Over ¢1M

A citizen of Ghana has written to the Commission on Human Rights Administration Justice (CHRAJ), asking for a full-scale investigation into two private accounts owned by the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi.

The Consolidated Bank Ghana accounts — one in cedis and the other in dollars — are alleged to hold over one million cedis.

This comes after the public officer was captured in a viral video handing out some dollars to controversial fetish priestess-turned-evangelist Agradaa after exchanging pleasantries at an event on Saturday.

The petitioner, who identifies himself as Eric Dumenu Akatsi, suspects the play of corruption as, according to him, substantial amounts have been flowing into the accounts since he took the public office.

“Further credible intelligence reveals that these two accounts have whooping sums of over One Hundred Million Ghana Cedi(s) as lodgment in those accounts. It is important to understand that this account, I am reliably informed through credible intelligence that, prior to his current position, those accounts never had the said substantial inflows.”

“This, I contend, including the slashing of dollars on 10th May, 2025, leads to one and only irresistible conclusion with the accuracy of Mathematics that, these are perfectly instances of alleged engagements in suspected corruption which fall within the Investigative mandates of this Commission.”

He therefore wants a full-scale investigation into the source of the money.
