Court Withdraws Sosu’s Arrest Warrant

The Kaneshie District court has withdrawn the bench warrant to arrest Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu, UTV reports.

According to the reports, the withdrawal comes after lawyers of the accused filed a stay of execution indicating that the order of the court to arrest the MP was unlawful.

The court on Monday, November 29 issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the Madina MP for defying court orders to appear in court a subsequent number of times.

The MP is in court for allegedly engaging in criminal activity during a protest he organized in his constituency over their poor road network on October 25.
