Celebrities Reaction After Ghana-Egypt Draw

Some celebrities took to social media to vent out their frustration after the Black Stars were held in a stalemate by the Pharaohs of Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on Thursday in Abidjan.

The Ghanaian lads were the first to get onto the scoresheet when Mohammed Kudus made useless of Egypt’s defence in added time in the first half with a breathtaking strike that found the back of the net.

The goal was later ruled as ‘Goal of the Match’ after the game with the midfielder taking home the ‘Man of the Match’ award.

The Black Stars went on recess with joy as they had taken the lead and were undoubtedly heading for their first win since the start of the tournament but that hope was dashed when Inaki Williams made an unfortunate pass that ended in the hands of Omar Marmoush who slotted home a leveller for Egypt in the 69th minute.

The mistake called for his substitution with Osman Bukari.

The lead was restored to Ghana two minutes later when West Ham’s rising star Kudus scored his second goal of the night but it wasn’t long until a mistake by Inaki’s substitute gave away the lead. Bukari was immediately subbed; however, the game ended with a 2-2 scoreline incensing Ghanaians.

The Delay Show host, Deloris Frimpong Manso wrote on her timeline she felt like crying.

“If I had a boyfriend, like I would go to his house tonight and cry on his shoulders cos, this game has really messed up my head 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹”

Musician Guru didn’t feel any different as he chastised Bukari for his expensive mistake.

“Player go kill en body score goal. You too come from the bench come dash free goal 😏”

Show host Shirley Emma Tibilla known as Cookie Tee also felt the frustration from her end.

“Ahhhhh, after all the hard work by @kudus_mohammed??????? I don’t even know how to feel right now. . . . . . . I can’t understand 🤦🏽‍♀️.”
