Sadio Mane Suspended, To Be Fined

Football Club Bayern Munich has announced the decision to suspend Senegalese professional footballer, Sadio Mane, for misconduct.

The 31-year-old will not be included in the Club’s team for this weekend’s game against 1899 Hoffenheim, the Club said in a statement.

It is not known if the suspension will be for one match.

That won’t be all for Mane to learn a lesson; he will also be fined, the Club said.

The fine, however, was not disclosed.

Mane is reported to have punched one of his teammates in the face in the dressing room after Bayern’s 3:0 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday, April 11.

Daily Mail reports that Leroy Sane and Mane were seen confronting each other as they trudged off the pitch at the Etihad Stadium and the row boiled over when they went down the tunnel.

“As the clash continued into the dressing room, Mane punched the German and left him with a bloodied lip, before the pair were dragged away from each other,” it reported.
