C/R: Child Reported Missing in Pomaadze Flood Found Safe After GNFS Search

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed that a child feared to have drowned in flooding at Seminafom, Pomaadze, has been found.

She was found safe at home after firefighters conducted a nearly two-hour search of the affected area.

The Service said it responded swiftly following reports of a suspected drowning on Thursday.

Firefighters immediately deployed to the flooded community and combed through the area for close to two hours before the child was located unharmed at home.

Following the incident, the GNFS has renewed its call for parents and guardians to be extra vigilant during the rainy season.

It urged families to keep children away from floodwaters and to report emergencies without delay to allow fire officers to respond quickly.
