Black Queens Begin Camping Ahead Of Zambia Clash

The Black Queens are camping in Accra to prepare for the third round of the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifiers against the Copper Queens this Friday.

Most of the players arrived at camp on Sunday, February 18, 2024, after Coach Nora Hauptle named 23 players for the clash last week.

Among them are Anasthesia Achiaa, Maafia Nyame, Sherifatu Sumaila, Grace Acheampong, Doris Boaduwaa, Azuma Bugre, Safiatu Salifu, Fridaus Yakubu, Stella Nyamekye, Evelyn Badu and Comfort Yeboah.

The Queens will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten streak this time too at the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra when they come into contact with Zambia.

The Ghanaian side has been impressive in the qualifiers so far winning all games played and conceding no goal.

After the February 23 clash, the return leg will take place on February 28 in Ndola in Zambia.

Leading Coach Hauptle’s 23-player squad are Mafia Nyame, Evelyn Badu, Doris Boaduwaa, Stella Nyamkye, Comfort Yeboah and Freda Ayisi.

The rest are Philomena Abekah, Grace Acheampong, Anasthesia Achiaa, Susan Ama Duah, Victoria Antwi Agyei, Grace Asantewaa, Gifty Assifuah, , Portia Boakye, Azuma Bugre, Jennifer Cudjoe, Janet Egyir, Linda Eshun, Kerrie McCarthy, Jacqueline Owusu, Safiatu Salifu, Sherifatu Sumaila, Fridaus Yakubu and Comfort Yeboah.
