Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council Extends Birthday Wishes to Otumfuo

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has joined the world in celebrating the occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on his 76th birthday.

The council members paid a visit to the King at his official residence on May 8, 2026, to deliver their goodwill message and prayers.

The delegation was led by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Richard Ofori Agyeman, prayed for many more years of life and wisdom for the King to continue leading the Asante Kingdom.

“God has added a year to His Majesty’s age. Together with the Regional Minister, we came to extend our sincere wishes and pray for more of God’s blessings for His Majesty,” he said.

The Council also presented gifts to Otumfuo.

Speaking through Kyeame Kantankrankyi, the Monarch assured the Council of his continued support and prayers, while encouraging them to work hard to spur development.

He counselled them to unite and push for the progress of the city and the region.
