Opoku Ware SHS Presents 3 Trophies from Sports Competitions to Asantehene

Athletes from Opoku Ware Senior High School have presented their accolades from a recent regional and national sports competition to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,
The three trophies came from the Regional and National Athletics Competition that took place three months ago.
The athletes were led by the Opoku Ware Old Boys’ Association on May 20, 2026, during the fourth Awukudae festival celebration.
“Three months ago, our sports students participated in the Ashanti Regional Athletics Competition. They won and advanced to the national level where they broke a number of records,” the Global President of the Association, Michael Adu Domfeh, reported.

Welcoming them on behalf of the King, Otumfuo Hiahene Nana Prof Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, patted the athletes on their success.
He emphasised that their victory reflects the winning spirit of the institution.
“On behalf of Otumfuo, I encourage you to continue the winning ways. The school has been a winner since its inception.”
Among the delegation were Rev Father Stephen Owusu Sekyere, the Headmaster and Mr Kwesi Oduro Boateng, the Assistant Headmaster.
