ADASS Shooting: Victim to Undergo Surgery in June

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced that the victim in the Adventist Senior High School (ADASS) shooting, Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang, is due for surgery next month.
The Minister visited the teenager in London on Sunday, where she has been under medical observation on the sidelines of the Oxford Africa Conference.
“I made time to visit the amazing Suzy Adwoa Pinamang in London,” he announced in a Facebook post.
In an update, he said her doctors had conducted numerous tests and had scheduled her surgery for next month.
“I am glad our courageous Suzy is in high spirits and doing very well. I commend the staff of the Ghana High Commission in London for their extraordinary care.”
He used the occasion to convey heartfelt appreciation to businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama for financing her trip and treatment.
Suzzy was shot in school on April 4 by her classmate with a locally manufactured pistol loaded with one BB round.
