Investigation Instituted After SHS Students Misconduct Against Prez

The Ghana Education Service (GES) says the Management of Chiana Senior High School has launched an investigation into circumstances that led to misconduct by some Senior High School (SHS) students in a viral video.

A press release by the GES noted that the action of the students flies in the face of moral and educational principles.

In a viral video, four female students stood in front of their boarding house and rained insults at President Akufo-Addo. The students used all kinds of unprintable words on the President for no reason specified in the video.

In reaction, the Service condemned their action as “unfortunate” and noted that it was against educational and moral principles.

The girls are said to be second-year students of Chiana Senior High School in the Kassena Nankana West District

“Management of the School began investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding such unfortunate utterances and gestures”, the GES said.

As part of the investigations, their parents have also been invited to assist.

It is not yet known when the investigations will come to an end but the GES has assured that its outcome will be made public.

Meanwhile, the Service has apologised to the President on behalf of the students.
