A/R: ECG Announces Planned Maintenance Works This Week

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in several parts of the Ashanti Region next week, which will result in temporary power outages.

In notices released over the weekend, ECG said the exercise is part of efforts to improve service delivery and will affect different communities on Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, power supply will be interrupted in Asbury, Anwomaso, part of Oduom, Okess SHS, Breman UGC, Pankrono Zongo, part of Atimatim, Kumawu, Bodomase, Abotanso, Oyoko, Dadease, Sekyere, Maase, part of Fawoade, Asenua, Ahwiaa Traba, Ahwiaa 80s, Medoma and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, also between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, the outage will affect Tafo, New Road Junction, Dagomba Line, part of Aboabo Pencil Factory, Oforikrom, Kentinkrono, Tech. Police Station, Asokore Mampong, CCC, Oduom, part of Parkoso and surrounding areas.

ECG said it regrets the inconvenience the exercise will cause to customers and urged residents in the affected areas to take note of the scheduled times and make the necessary arrangements.
