Asantehene Calls For Calm In Tuobodom

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has called for restraint between parties in the Tuobodom Stool chieftaincy dispute in the Bono East Region.

The dispute is between Maame Birago and the reigning Paramount Chief of Tuobodom Traditional Area, Nana Agyei Kokoo Takyifri Beyeemam.

The two were summoned before the Asanteman Council on July 10, 2025.

Appearing before His Majesty, they were assured of a meticulous investigation into the case for peace to reign.

“My attention has been drawn to contentions at Tuobodom and so asked that they called you here so I tell you I don’t want disturbances. I will call the case in due course and look at it for the truth to prevail,” Otumfuo said.
