What AmaZulu Coach Said after Richard Ofori’s Own Goal Denied Them 3 Points

The Head coach of South African premier league side AmaZulu, Arthur Zwane, understands that mistakes are part of the football game after a mistake by Ghana international Richard Ofori gave away their lead to opponents Kaizer Chiefs.
The game ended 2-2, denying the visitors all three points.
After a 1-1 scoreline at recess, Elmo Kambindu gave his side the lead with a header in the 60th minute but the lead lasted just three minutes as AmaZulu goalkeeper Ofori scored an own goal- the second in favour of the opponents on Tuesday evening- to gift Kaizer Chiefs an equaliser and a share of the spoils.
In a post-match press conference, Head Coach Zwane blamed “pressure” for the costly mistake, acknowledging his impressive performance in the first half.
“Unfortunately, football is a game of mistakes. [But] as I said earlier on, he kept us in the game [first half]. Sometimes when the pressure mounts, you are bound to crack. He made those two crucial mistakes; both of them we know he’d save, make them look easy,” he said on SuperSport TV.
According to him, the “fantastic” player needs psychological help to be able to deal with such situations.
“Now it is our job as coaches to try and help him psychologically because we need him. He’s been doing fantastically well for the team.”
AmaZulu are seventh on the log with 20 points after 16 games.
