We Look Forward to Collaborate with Asante- Nandom Naa

The Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Council, Naa Prof Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII, is seeking avenues to collaborate with the Asante Kingdom to spur development.

This objective was principal in his general trip from the Upper West Region in the northern part of Ghana to the southern sector of Ghana in a courtesy visit to the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manyia Palace.

The traditional leader alongside authorities from his Council was received at the mini durbar held in celebration of the Awukudae Festival celebration on February 12, 2025.


In a speech delivered on his behalf after exchanging pleasantries with the Asante King, the Nandom Naa said it mirrored the longstanding cordial relations between Nandom and Asante.

“On behalf of Nandom Naa, we are pleased to pay this courtesy call and visit on His Majesty reflecting the friendship that has long existed between both places and between Nandom Naa and His Majesty Otumfuo. And to reiterate the longstanding friendship in the spirit of collaboration.”

Meanwhile, he underscored his desire to collaborate with Asante on key developmental programmes for the development of Ghana.


Accordingly, the Nandom Naa said he was looking forward to ways “we can work together towards national development”.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, held a mini durbar to celebrate the second Awukudae Festival of the year at the Manhyia Palace on February 12, 2025.

Also joining the durbar were the Ghana School of Law, the Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Management and Staff of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF), Warrior King Watches CEO, Opemsuo Nananom-New York, Ghana Immigration Ladies Association and others.
