Vice-President Visits Asantehemaa

The Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has paid the Asantehemaa a visit at the Manhyia Palace in the absence of the Asantehene who is on a private visit to the UK.

The Vice President’s entourage included the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, the Bantama MP, Hon Asenso Boakye, the Kumasi Mayor, Sam Pyne, and the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako known as Chairman Wontumi among others.

Hon Simon Osei Mensah said it was appropriate that the Vice President pays such an important visit as a result of his presence in Kumasi.

Dr. Bawumia arrived in the region yesterday for the commissioning of a 100km Rehabilitation and Auxiliary Infrastructure of Kumasi Inner Ring Road and Adjacent Streets Project – Phase 1 including Old Tafo, Asokwa, Oforikrom, and Kwadaso assemblies.

H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia cut sod for the very project on December 13, 2019.
