Bawumia Directs His Communicators, Supporters to Refrain from Insults

Former Vice President and aspiring Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has encouraged his communicators, supporters and volunteers to refrain from derogatory remarks against other aspirants and their associates.
It comes after the camp of Kennedy Agyapong accused the Bawumia camp of constant personal attacks and warned him to call his surrogates to order.
The Bawumia campaign team, in response, called for consistent decent campaigning.
“We must immediately cease and desist from any form of direct or indirect insults, derogatory remarks, and personal attacks against any other aspirant, their families, or their supporters.”
According to Bawumia, the focus must remain on promoting Dr Bawumia’s vision, proven track record, and policy propositions.
It affirmed that arguments and engagements must be grounded in verifiable facts, a comparative analysis of ideas, and the substantive track records of all involved.
“We encourage healthy debate on policies, competence, and electability, not on sentiment, emotion, or character assassination.”
It emphasised the need for unity, noting that communications that sow division and create lasting animosity would only serve to weaken our collective front.
“Let us be remembered for raising the standard of political discourse, not for lowering it.”
