Kofi Akpaloo Under Investigation For Fraud, Other Crimes- Srem Sai

The Deputy Attorney General, Justice Srem Sai has brought clarity to arrest of the founder of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).
In a Facebook post, he said Suspect Percival Kofi Akpaloo was under investigation on allegations of various financial crimes including fraud, causing financial loss to the State, dissipation of public funds, and money laundering.
He confirmed his arrest by officials of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on September 3, 2025.
According to Justice Sai, the suspect has since been granted a GHC 10 million bail with 2 sureties to be justified.
Meanwhile, the suspect is yet to meet the bail conditions.
“The suspect remains in the custody of EOCO pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions.”
