Police Arrest 10 For Viral Shaving of Two Women in Wassa Dawuranpong

The police have arrested 10 individuals following a viral shaving of two women at Dawuranpong.
A statement by the police said GP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Western Central Police Command, fished out the culprits.
The victims were allegedly abused after reportedly stealing money from a gold-buying shop.
“Three of the suspects, namely: Eric Donkor,32, Yaw Gyimah, 29, and Edmond Nartey, 24, were among those seen in the video abusing the women by cutting through their scalp with a sharp razor.”
It also identified the seven other suspects as Stephen Amu,24, Farouk Balas, 18, Mensah Bernard, 18, Adu Baggeo, 23, Bismark Nyarko, 30, Akwesi Poku George,18, and Oteng Alfred, 23.
These are said to have played various roles in aiding and abetting the commission of the offence.
Meanwhile, it reported that one Tawiah, who was also captured cutting through the scalp of one of the women’s heads, is at large.
“The suspects will be screened, and the main culprits will be arraigned before the court.”
It noted that efforts are underway to locate and assist the victims in obtaining medical treatment.
The Western Central Regional Police Command further cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands and advised that all arrested persons be handed over to the Police to be taken through the due process of the law.
