Politicians Are Not Thinking Of Ashanti Region’s Development- Bantama Youth Roars Out Grievances

The Bantama Youth Association, says Ghanaian politicians are not thinking about the welfare and development of the Ashanti Region.

According to the furious Youth, politicians are undermining the image of Asanteman per their action and inactions as far as developmental projects are concerned.

Voicing their bitterness to the media in a press conference at Centre for National Culture in Kumasi, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the Leader of the Bantama Youth Association, Kwame Awuah Nimfuo Okokodurufuo equivocally stated that Ashanti Region is lagging behind monumental developments.

He said, since time immemorial, Asanteman has fought on several occasions for the development and freedom of present day Ghana.

Kwame Nimfuo stated that Ashanti Region is not benefiting from Nyinahini Bauxite under the Synohydro project.

Reacting to Mr. Yaw Osafo Maafo’s tribalistic audio, Mr. Awuah called on the President Akufo-Addo’s Adviser to render unqualified apology and redraw his unpalatable comments.

According to the peeve group, they are tempting to believe that Mr. Yaw Osafo Maafo has advised President Akufo-Addo to deprive Ashanti Region with development.

To buttress their points, Boankra Inland Port, Anloga flyover, Airport around about flyover, Sofoline interchange project, Suame Interchange, and other uncompleted health facilities, all have not seen the light of the day and turning into deceptions.

They expressed bitterness over all Ashanti Region Members of Parliament both NPP and NDC due to their inability to bring monumental developments in Ashanti Region.

“We are giving them two weeks for them to come and explain with tangible reasons on why they cannot bring massive development in Ashanti Region else, we will summoned them to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” they stressed.
