Opemsuo Radio GM Celebrates Kufuor on 87th Birthday
The General Manager of Opemsuo Radio, a subsidiary of Ashanti Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), has sent out warm wishes to former President John Agyekum Kufour on the occasion of his birthday.
The statesman is 87 years old today.
In a social media post, he wrote, “Happy 87th birthday to the former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufour. Celebrating 87 years of God’s blessings.”
Wishes have been pouring out from across the country for the former head of state.
“Wishing a spectacular 87th Birthday to the Gentle Giant, former President John Agyekum Kufuor! May your day be filled with love and your year ahead be blessed with God’s continued grace and strength. Have a wonderful celebration,” MP for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah.
Kufour was sworn in as Ghana’s second President in the Fourth Republic on January 7, 2001 and went on to win a second term in the 2004 Presidential election.
He left office in January 2009.
