Bawumia Meets Christian Council

Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has led a delegation of the New Patriotic Party to a consultative meeting with the leadership of the Christian Council of Ghana.

According to the NPP 2028 Presidential Candidate, the meeting on Thursday, June 11, focused on Ghana’s development, national unity, and shared progress, with both sides emphasising the role of faith-based institutions in shaping the country’s future.

The NPP delegation reaffirmed the party’s commitment to sustained engagement with religious bodies as key partners in promoting peace, inclusivity, and prosperity for all Ghanaians.

“Discussions focused on Ghana’s development, National unity, and shared progress,” Dr Bawumia posted after the meeting.

“We reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to sustained engagement with religious bodies as key partners in promoting peace, inclusivity and prosperity for all Ghanaians.”

Dr Bawumia said the party was “deeply grateful to the Council for the warm reception and valuable insights shared” during the discussions.

“Together, we are moving forward,” he added, signalling the NPP’s intent to deepen collaboration with religious leaders ahead of the 2028 elections.
