Poland Qualifies to Become a Serious and Trusted Partner to Africa – Otumfuo

The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has observed that Poland is well-positioned to become a serious and trusted partner for Africa.
Addressing a group at the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów on May 29, 2026, Otumfuo affirmed Poland’s remarkable transformation over the years.
“Poland, with its remarkable journey from struggle to resilience, from tradition to industrial strength, from history to modern European influence, is well placed to become a serious and trusted partner,” he said.
Otumfuo stated that Africa’s ready markets, minerals, food, potential, creativity and cultural confidence will complement Poland’s experienced industries, manufacturing capability, access to the European market, and expertise in engineering, logistics, education and agriculture.
“Together, we can create something powerful,” the Asantehene declared.
Otumfuo asserted that the continent, often classified as “third world,” is seeking partnerships in trade, production and innovation rather than sympathy or special treatment.
“In this changing world, Africa is not asking to be pitied. Africa is not asking to be treated as an afterthought. Africa is saying we are ready to partner, to produce, to trade, to innovate and to build,” he said.
The occupant of the Golden Stool was quick to note that the partnership Africa seeks is not the old, destructive relationship, but one rooted in respect and mutual benefit.
“It must be of value to both sides. It must go beyond raw materials and finished imports. It must involve technology, skills, industry, finance, education, agriculture, culture and human connection,” His Majesty added.
