Otumfuo Outlines Priority Areas for Ghana-Poland Partnership

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has outlined a blueprint of priority areas for investment and partnership between Ghana and Poland.
Speaking at the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów on May 29, 2026, he called for a shift from ceremonial diplomacy to practical, vocational and technical cooperation.
“Let Polish companies work with African universities and technical institutes. Let us create exchange programmes for engineers, doctors, nurses, cultural scientists, ICT specialists and entrepreneurs.”
Otumfuo identified key sectors where Ghana’s potential and Poland’s expertise can align, including modern manufacturing, agro-processing, robotics, renewable energy, medical technology, logistics, and education.
His Majesty affirmed that a young Ghanaian trained in these fields is not only an African asset, but also a bridge between continents.
“This is how we move from talk to action. When we equip our youth with skills and create decent work, we retain talent and build prosperity at home.”
The Asantehene stressed that such partnerships would give Africa’s growing youth population reasons to stay and thrive, while giving Polish industry access to new markets, resources and talent.
