Otumfuo Blesses “Asante Festival and Culture Exhibition”

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has given his blessings for the maiden and subsequent editions of the Legacy Foundation’s “Asante Festival and Culture Exhibition”.

The event, which is envisioned to take place annually in the Asante Kingdom, is purposed to preserve the culture and tradition of the Kingdom, according to the General Manager of Legacy Foundation, Nana Kwame Ahenkora.

At the Manhyia Palace on November 26, the organisers of the event were introduced to the King. They also briefed Asanteman about the event.

“We aim to exhibit the culture and tradition of the Kingdom. Through this annual programme, we will educate our youth about the kingdom,” said the General Manager, who is also the coordinator for the event.

The group was led to the Palace by Oheneba Owusu Korkor, Asamponghene, during the last Akwasidae of the year.

The maiden edition of the exhibition will take place from December 24 to December 30 at the Heroes Park of the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The programme will feature a health walk, fun games, grand sales and education, business and career guidance, cooking competitions, and music carnivals.
