One In Police Custody For Allegedly Killing Octogenarian
The police have arrested one John Adonu, a welder for his alleged involvement in the murder of an 85-year-old man at Kpetoe in the Volta region of Ghana.
He was arrested on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
Per a police report, Joseph Tawiah Darko, the old man, now deceased, was reported missing on June 14, 2022, after he left home on June 13 and never returned.
On June 15, 2022, the decapitated body of the 85-year-old was found under a tree on his farm.
Investigations led to the arrest of John who was arraigned before a court on June 17, 2022, and was remanded into police custody to reappear on June 29, 2022.
Two others have been fingered in the investigations, the police disclosed and added that efforts are underway to round them up.
