NSS Compulsory Military Training Piloting Programme Made Optional

The National Service Authority (NSA) says the 2025/2026 batch of national service personnel have the option to partake in the piloting phase of the six-week compulsory military training.
In a statement, the Authority said a limited number of graduates from the 2025/2026 cohort will be involved.
It said that interested applicants may indicate their willingness to participate during the online registration process.
“Final postings to user agencies will occur after the military orientation is complete, ensuring that no participant forfeits their work placement due to participation.”
On Tuesday, the Authority released 132,393 PIN Codes for prospective National Service Personnel from 100 accredited educational institutions nationwide.
In addition to the 125 PIN codes issued to graduates submitted by accredited institutions, the NSA said a further 908 PIN codes for private applicants are currently awaiting final verification from the related institutions to be released.
It noted that the registration window opens on June 17, 2025, and will close on July 1, 2025, directing all eligible applicants to complete their registration within the stated period.
