KsTU Invites Asantehene to 22nd Congregation

The Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has extended a humble invitation to the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for their upcoming 22nd Congregation.

Though an official invitation has already been extended to the Manhyia Palace, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Gabriel Dwomoh, for a second time extended a verbal invitation to the King to the event during a courtesy visit on February 12, 2025.

Together with some management members of the institution, Prof Dwomoh was at the Palace to pay homage during the observation of the Awukudae Festival.

“I take this opportunity to humbly invite the Asantehene to our 22nd Congregation for the award of Masters, Bachelors, HND and Diploma, to persons who completed their programmes of study in the 2023/2024 academic year. It is coming off on Friday, 28th February 2025.”

The event will be hosted at the New Great Hall of the University.

Increased Enrolment
Updating Otumfuo on the progress of the institution since his takeover, he said there has been an unprecedented enrolment.

He credited the invaluable counsel of the Asantehene for the success and growth witnessed in the school.

“I was appointed about a year or so ago and I came to Otumfuo. He encouraged me so much and that motivated me. That encouraged and gave me authority and morale. This year, the number of enrolments is unprecedented. All this is due to the blessings Otumfuo gave me.”

Otumfuo expressed his desire to personally grace the event but noted that that would be subject to his schedule.

He thus directed his Office to review his schedules.
“Review the date for me. If it doesn’t coincide with any scheduled event, I will personally attend.”
