Nhyiaeso MP Surrenders To The Police

Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Hon. Stephen Amoah has reported himself to the police after failing to appear in court yesterday, December 8, the police have reported.

The MP was arrested together with some 6 drivers on Tuesday for violating road traffic regulations while plying the Airport By-Pass.

The MP was required to be in court with his colleague “lawbreakers”, however his presence was missed, an action that compelled the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Upon surrendering to the police today, Hon. Amoah has been put before the La Magistrate court.

The police say the outcome of the court ruling will be communicated later.

5 of the drivers got their sanctions when they were put before the court yesterday.

So far, one offender is yet to appear in court after failing to show up. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
