Helicopter Crash: Return Anything Taken From Crash Site- Amoakohene to Adansi Akrofrom Residents

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has directed any resident of Adansi Akrofrom with any debris or items taken from the crash site of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter to return them immediately.
In a statement, he said, “Intelligence gathered by the Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council (ARCC) indicates that some of the residents who were first at the scene of the tragic helicopter crash that happened on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025 picked some parts of the helicopter and other belongings at the scene.
“The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council is admonishing any person in possession of any part of the helicopter or belongings recovered to return these items.”
He promised a cash reward for persons who willing return them.
“The ARCC is willing to offer a cash reward for any person who willingly returns any item. This offer will be in place until the close of day, Monday, 11th August, 2025.”
He noted that any person found in possession of such items beyond the August 11 would be deemed a criminal and will face the full rigours of the law.
The crash on Wednesday left eight individuals including five government officials and three crew members dead.
