Medeama Release 3 Players As They Sign 2 New Ones

Champions of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, Medeama Sporting Club have announced the release of three players as well as the signing of two new ones on a long-term basis.

Ernest Mwankurinah, Ishmael Hammond and Darlington Gyanfosu Appiah are departing the club.

In a statement, Medeama recognised the contribution of the three players towards their historic Ghana Premier League title stating, “We would like to thank Ernest, Ishmael and Darlington for their contribution to the team and wish them well in their future endeavours.”

On the other hand, joining the Club are defender Ibrahim Larbi and Benjamin Bature on four and three-year deals respectively.

Ibrahim joins the club from lower side Mountaineers FC whereas Bature rejoins the Club after leaving for Tunisian side JS Kairouan in 2019.

On Ibrahim, Head Coach Augustine Evans Adotey is confident his addition will complement the resilient force needed as the Club embark on the CAF Champions League for the 2023-24 season.

He also holds “Bature is not new to the club having excelled during his time in the past. He is a talented footballer and has the capacity to improve our squad. We want to build a formidable squad for our Premier League title defence as well as our involvement in the CAF Champions League.”
