Mahama Tours Western North Region

Former President John Dramani Mahama is currently in the Western North Region for his campaign tour which began earlier last month.

This follows a tour in the Greater Accra Region.

The flagbearer hopeful looks forward to visiting all 275 constituencies in the country before the Presidential Primary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) slated for mid-next month.

He has so far been to the 179 constituencies in 10 regions.

He is said to have met and interacted with 251, 000 delegates in the visited regions.

In the Western North region, he will spend two days visiting nine constituencies.

From there, he will return to the Ashanti region where he will hold the second leg of his tour, a statement from his aide, Joyce Bawa Bogtari said.

Mahama is seeking a comeback having lost in the 2016 and 2022 general elections in which he was the flag bearer of the main opposition party.

At the party level, he is being contested by former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu and former Finance Minister Kwabena Duffour.

The NDC will hold its Primaries on May 13.
