President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College as it marks 50 years of professional military education.

In a message to commemorate the occasion at the College’s anniversary launch in Hamidu Hall, Teshie, the Commander-in-Chief highlighted the institution’s importance in addressing emerging security challenges within the sub-region.

The President said government will continue to back GAFCSC to maintain its status as a centre of excellence.

The anniversary was launched under the theme “Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Professional Military Education”.

Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Hon. Julius Debrah, who delivered the keynote address, commended the College for its outstanding contribution to leadership development and for successfully integrating military training with academic excellence for both local and international officers.
