National Peace Council Takes Religious Tolerance MoU to Senior High Schools

The National Peace Council has extended its campaign for religious tolerance to the grassroots with a dissemination workshop on the Memorandum of Understanding on Religious Tolerance and Violence Prevention for Senior High Schools.
The engagement brought together Municipal and District Directors of the Ghana Education Service, headteachers of Senior High Schools, school chaplains, and Guidance and Counselling Coordinators from across the Central Region.
Organisers said the session was designed to ensure the provisions of the MoU are understood and implemented at the school level.
Participants were taken through the key provisions of the agreement, as well as strategies for promoting interfaith harmony among students.
The workshop also focused on practical approaches to preventing and managing violence and indiscipline in Senior High Schools.
The National Peace Council said it remains committed to fostering safe, tolerant, and peaceful learning environments across Ghana’s educational institutions as part of efforts to build a culture of coexistence and respect among the youth.
