Kotoko To Unveil Coach Ogun Today
Reappointed head coach of the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, will today, August 7, 2023, be officially unveiled by the Club.
The event will take place in the Conference Room of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The gaffer was reappointed on July 21, 2023.
This was after the life patron of the Club, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, met with the club’s National Circles Council (NCC) and Old Players at the Manhyia Palace earlier that day to deliberate on issues bothering the welfare of the club.
At the meeting, Otumfuo charged the former coach of the Black Stars who is also a former player of the Club, Coach Kwesi Appiah with the responsibility of finding a new head coach to manage the Porcupine Warriors immediately.
He will be assisted by David Ocloo.
Dr Ogum who won the 2021/2022 premier league title with the club left in July 2022.
He was replaced by Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo who superintended over just 23 games winning 10, losing 7 and drawing 6.
The Club failed to defend the title last season as Medeama Sporting Club took over.
