Kotoko Sign ”Hungry” Bernard Somuah

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have added to their arsenals Bernard Somuah, a teenage goal-hungry player from Afigya Liberty a few days before the start of the betPawa Premier League.

The 17-year-old “technically gifted” and “modern” winger who scored 22 goals for his former Club will be with Coach Narteh Ogum’s side for the next 3 years.

He officially joined the Club on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

The Club said the “gifted” player ahead of his signing was part of their training sessions and featured in three of the Club’s four pre-season friendlies.

Coach Ogum described him as a hungry-for-goal player.

“He has hunger for goals, a vision to see the dangers around him, and use space,” he said and then added, “He’s a brilliant player, and he has all the qualities of a modern-day winger.”

In his short time with the Club, fans are said to have grown fond of him, however, Coach Ogum has urged them not to overhype him but rather, support his growth.

“I will plead with the fans to have patience for him and not to overhype him, but to support him and see what the future holds for us.”
