KMA Invites Residents to Town Hall Meeting to Review 2025 Budget Performance

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has invited the public and all social or organised groups to a Social Accountability/Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The forum will be held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall at 10:00 am.
According to KMA Management, the meeting is in line with the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability and participatory governance as enshrined in Regulation 215 of the Public Financial Management Regulations, 2019 (LI 2378) and Section 42 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
The meeting aims to review the Assembly’s 2025 plan and budget performance. Participants expected to include rate payers, civil society organisations, women and youth groups, traditional authorities, and the business community, among others.
The Assembly said the forum presents an opportunity for residents to engage the Assembly on revenue mobilisation, expenditure, and key development projects.
“The KMA urges the public to take advantage of the programme for their voices to be heard,” Management stated.
The Town Hall meeting forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to deepen citizen engagement in local governance and ensure public oversight of municipal finances and projects.
