July Producer Price Inflation Hits 41.2 %

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced the year-on-year Producer Price Inflation (PPI) for July 2022 is 41.2 %.

The PPI rate was driven by the Manufacturing sub sector which recorded an inflation rate of 57.4%.

The mining and quarrying sub sector recorded a producer inflation rate of 23.9% and 1.3% for utilities.

With the exception of the manufacturing of Coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel which recorded an inflation rate higher than the average 57.4% for manufacturing, the 15 other products under the subsector saw inflation rate far below the average.

In June 2022, PPI was 38.0%.
