Gospel musician Cecilia Marfo has stated that she will continue to minister in the English language despite her poor educational background.
According to the singer, when she is overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit, she is always moved to minister in English.
“I like to minister English songs when I’m in the spirit. My poor educational background doesn’t favour me with the lyrics sometimes, so I maneuver with the words in my way”, she said.
Recognized for her commanding voice, the ‘Efunumuba’ composer trended last week with one of her Facebook live sessions with her followers, in which she wrongly sang the lyrics to a popular song, “What shall I Say Unto the Lord.”
The video received massive trolls on social media.
But she indicated in a radio interview with Abeiku Santana, monitored by opemsuo.com, that “In all, people understand the song and they are happy with it. I will continue to minister in English”, she noted.
She went on to say, that, even though as a gospel artist, her favorite secular musicians are; Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi, and Kwabena Kwabena.
“I take advice from their songs”, she said.
