Hearts of Oak Names Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as New Head Coach

Hearts of Oak has appointed former Black Stars Assistant Coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, as head coach in place of Aboubakara Ouattara.

It comes after the club’s uninspiring performance in the just-ended season.

In a statement, Hearts said a comprehensive evaluation of the technical team and player performances in the recently concluded league informed the Board’s decision to implement “strategic changes” for strengthening.

“Effective immediately, Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has been appointed as Head Coach on a two-year contract.”

The new coach is expected to meet the playing squad to outline his plans and philosophy.

Meanwhile, the club said his immediate priority is to prepare the team for the upcoming 2025 President’s Cup and the Eko International Tournament in Nigeria.

Coach Dramani brings extensive expertise to the club. His impressive credentials include coaching roles at FC Nordsjalland (Denmark), Right to Dream, and leading Kumasi Asante Kotoko to two Premier League titles.

His recent experience encompasses serving as an Assistant Coach for the Ghana Black Stars during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Head Coach of the Black Galaxies, and Head of Football at Right to Dream Academy.

He holds multiple coaching certifications from FIFA and CAF, including UEFA License ‘B’ and CAF License ‘A’, and is an accredited CAF Instructor/Assessor.

The Phobias finished fourth in the 2024-25 season.
