GSA Disclaims Viral Report on Pesticide Residues in Okra and Cabbage

The Ghana Standards Authority has disclaimed an unauthorised publication currently circulating on social and mainstream media platforms regarding pesticide residues in okra and cabbage.
In a public notice issued by its Public Relations Department, the GSA said it has not authorised, endorsed, or issued any such publication.
The Authority stated that it is aware of the document in circulation and wishes to state unequivocally that its content does not originate from, and has not been verified by, the GSA.
The Authority has therefore advised members of the public, media houses, and other stakeholders to disregard the publication and to rely solely on official communication from the GSA on matters relating to food safety and product conformity.
It urged the public to contact the Authority through its official channels for accurate and verified information.
The GSA further reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that only credible, scientifically verified information is shared on issues within its regulatory mandate.
