Gov’t Urges Use of Data to Drive Education Reforms as GALOP 2025 Findings Released

The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has called for education policies and reforms to be anchored on credible data and evidence to ensure sustainable improvements in the sector.
Speaking at the dissemination of the 2025 Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) Endline Inspection Findings and Recommendations in Accra, Dr Apaak said accountability, continuous evaluation, and informed decision-making are critical to achieving lasting progress in education.
He emphasised that the findings from the GALOP endline inspection must serve as a guide for future policy decisions, resource allocation, and targeted interventions aimed at improving learning outcomes across the country.
According to the Deputy Minister, the report provides an important basis for identifying gaps and strengthening the delivery of quality education at all levels.
He urged education stakeholders to pay close attention to the recommendations and integrate them into ongoing efforts to improve school performance and learner achievement.
Dr Apaak reaffirmed government’s commitment to building an inclusive, accountable, and responsive education system that meets the needs of every Ghanaian learner.
He charged policymakers, educators, development partners, and other stakeholders to use the GALOP findings to strengthen school quality and ensure better outcomes for students nationwide.
