According to the High Commissioner, the final exercise will begin on July 25, 2026, following approval from South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs and Border Management.

“We are going to do the final repatriation. The modalities will be the same as the modalities of the previous repatriations,” he said. “We will come to the various places you are lodging and transport you from all the provinces to come down. Those lodging in churches, hotels, with friends and family will be assisted.”

“We are not doing new registrations yet. We are dealing with those who have already registered and have been screened.”

He added that specific flights will be designated each day from July 25 until all 900 registered persons have been repatriated.

The High Commissioner further indicated that after this exercise, any future requests for repatriation or consular assistance of a similar nature will be considered strictly on a case-by-case basis through the Consular Office of the High Commission, subject to applicable requirements and circumstances.
