Ghana Shippers’ Authority to Enforce Shipper Registration on ICUMS from August 3, 2026

The Ghana Shippers’ Authority, GSA, has announced that mandatory shipper registration under the Ghana Shippers’ Authority Act, 2024, Act 1122, will take effect on the Integrated Customs Management System, ICUMS, from Sunday, August 3, 2026.

In a public notice, the Authority said the requirement is pursuant to Section 26(1) of Act 1122 and applies to all importers and exporters.

Shippers who are yet to register have been advised to visit or contact GSA offices across the country to complete the process before the deadline.

The GSA also confirmed that the annual Shipper Registration fee remains GH¢150.00 as prescribed under the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, L.I. 2512.

The fee is valid for twelve calendar months and covers all shipment transactions within the validity period.
