Fraudsters Tampering With Dzata Cement Apprehended
The Management of Dzata Cement has announced the arrest of some suspects in connection with an alleged tampering with their product packaging.
According to the company, these scrupulous individuals had been opening genuine Dzata Cement bags, replacing the contents with inferior cement, and resealing them for resale.
It comes after the company verified a viral video circulating online showing bags of cement allegedly linked to its brand.
“After careful review, we can confirm that the cement shown in that video is not genuine Dzata Cement.”
It noted that this is peculiar with its brand as counterfeiting and bag tampering have long been a challenge facing the cement industry in Ghana.
“What sets us apart is our swift action: with the support of law enforcement, the culprits have already been apprehended and investigations are ongoing.”
It used the occasion to assure its customers and partners that the quality of their products remains unchanged, as each manufactured bag undergoes a strict quality control process.
