GFA Presents Ampem Darkoa Ladies As WAFU B Women’s Champions League Rep

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says it has met the deadline by submitting Ampem Darkoa Ladies as the country’s representative for the third edition of the Women’s Champions League.

After winning this season’s Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Ampen Darkoa qualifies as the country’s representative.

The official submission by the GFA followed what it said was a firm notification from the West African Football Union (WAFU) B on the submission of the name of the representing club for the third edition of the tournament.

The Techiman-based Club booked a place in the Champions League when they thrashed Hasaacas Ladies in this season’s final premier league.

In the previous year, Ampen Darkoa missed out on the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League after losing to Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens in the final of the Wafu B zonal qualifiers.

They were thrashed by 3 goals to nil ending their chase for the grand title.

This year’s WAFU B Women’s Champions League will take place in Nigeria.
